Ordered pickup for lunch. Tried the Al pastor, fried mahi, and San Antonio tacos. I’ve had better al pastor tacos, but the other two were phenomenal. So delicious! Plus pickup was very easy: I ordered & paid online, and just had to go in to get my order. I will definitely be back, hopefully to dine in next time.
I've been a long time fan of strange taco in Lawrenceville. I've been waiting for this location to open up for a while. When I walked in they told me I was their very first customer! I had a great experience, also ate very well! I love this place and will be back! I'm still waiting for my first customer gift btw!
Had such a great first visit, I returned the next day with the family for dinner. Great little joint hosting BIG taco flavors. Parking is close and they will validate up to 2 hours! Dining room seating is available for both small and larger parties. The ordering line at one point was out the front door...but don't let that stop you!!! The staff handled it well and customers were chowing on some amazing tacos before too long. I enjoyed the fish, Cajun and coconut shrimp tacos with a side of cilantro rice. Tacos were packed with flavor. The rice may have been the last of what they had...wasn't freshly made but packed it into one of my tacos and i couldn't even tell! Looking forward to our next visit!
Staff was good and seemed knowledgeable about food when I asked specific questions and even made recommendations. Nice industrial interior. Tried fried green tomato, San Antonio and chicken and queso. Enjoyed all the flavors but chicken on San Antonio had hard pieces. I like all the options they offer and would recommend trying.
I'm leaving a great review for what USED TO BE Strange Taco - NOT for High Voltage Wings. Because Strange is still listed in this location, I feel I must warn any taco fans that it's NOT Strange Taco anymore! Look at the reviews for High Voltage and you'll see what I'm talking about. I can't believe the company made this change, especially when it clearly isn't working (again, see reviews for High Voltage!). The service is extremely slow (like 45 min to get your order) and offers only basic bar food now, nothing creative like they used to have. Head to Lawrenceville if you want great tacos.
We had such a great experience last night at Strange Taco! The service was great! Our waitress (Brinley) as well as the manager (Jacob I believe was his name) were so kind to us and the food was right on point! Will definitely be back soon!
Strange Taco Bar doing it right. Restaurant is fun and full of good vibes. Staff is friendly. Service is fast and efficient. Simple menu that is straightforward - it’s all about the Taco. Food is fresh and full of flavor. Definitely will be back.
